I addressed one trick here. Now, for another one:
When one is losing, one seeks to distract one’s opponent and/or audience with name-calling, rudeness, insult, disrespect, etc. This sort of skullduggery is likely to throw the debate into disorder. The loser then hides his loss in the chaos he has created.
This is the ad hominem fallacy, but with a twisted twist: its user is not merely falling into irrelevant personal attack; he is using the attack as a means to deceive.
